About NIME
The NIME (New Interfaces for Musical Expression) project is a research project at the Norwegian Academy of Music, under the strategic research programme FOU-C. Started in 2007 and running until 2010 we will be working on musical innovation and experimentation, with a focus on two main topics:
- Hyperinstruments: extending acoustic instruments
- Digital orchestra: developing and performing with new electronic instruments
The project will result in seminars, workshop, concerts, publications and various public dissimenations showing the potentials of NIME.
